Gekkomon

A vibrantly-colored Reptile Digimon that inhabits tropical rainforests throughout the Digital World. These bright colors act as camouflage allowing Gekkomon to blend in with its habitat, making spotting it difficult. The pads on its fingers and toes are capable of clinging to all kinds of surfaces, such as the trees or boulders on which it typically resides. Although personality varies from individual to individual, most are of an inquisitive and cheerful nature. Gekkomon's primary special move is Smash Beat, where it strikes foes with its freely-extendable tongue with a force that can even knock out Digimon stronger than itself if it lands a clean hit. It can also utilize its tongue to execute other creative attacks such as Break Throw, in which it grabs nearby objects with its tongue and hurls them at its opponent, or Swing Tackle, in which it uses its tongue to latch onto a nearby object before spinning itself around using centrifugal force to launch a body slam. When backed into a corner, Gekkomon has a tendency to cut off its own tail, which distracts foes while it escapes. Among members of the species, a shortened tail is regarded as a mark of cowardice, whereas a longer and unblemished tail is a sign of the owner's strength.
